Japan is working hard to entice tourists to return with their Go To Travel program.
The program covers half of a person's travel expenses in Japan; 35% goes toward things like accommodations or transportation, and the remaining 15% goes toward special coupons that can be used at shops and restaurants during the trip.
Travelers could get up to ¥20,000 per stay - ¥14,000 for accommodations/transportation and ¥6,000 in vouchers.
Other Asian countries are also opening their borders. On Monday, India announced that it would allow vaccinated foreign travelers from over 99 countries into the country. This is the first time India has allowed travelers through its borders in over 20 months.
South Korea and Singapore, which changed their travel requirements on Monday, allowing fully vaccinated visitors to enter their country without needing to quarantine.
If you are planning a trip to any of these countries, find other travelers on GAFFL, who are planning to go there at the same time with you, connect, and explore together.
