The fort is around 4.5 km from the Khargone-Burhanpur highway and 20 Km from Burhanpur city. From the highway, view of entire fort is marvelous. It requires about 2-3 hours to explore the entire fort excluding the journey from Burhanpur. Jama Masjid, Mama Bhanja Talao and Mahadeo temple are some of the places worth to visit inside the fort. Visiting Asirgarh fort on the monsoon day was really thrilling. The surrounding view from the fort top was truly enchanting. Unfortunately, the fort is not well maintained like other forts of India under ASI. Some more care could have made this fort a remarkable tourist spot.
