I (50) will travel solo to Japan primarily to climb mount fuji staying on the mountain near the top to get at the top before the next days sunrise. then plan to see other parts of Japan by train.  

I have been to Japan several times with work so have some experience getting around. I don't speak Japanese well at all.

Id love to have local people join me while we are in their area.  maybe sing some karaoke, trip around the city to see the sights and have some lunch or dinner.  Also open to ideas/experience i haven't thought of.
