I am a Historical and Cultural Geography professor who works at a Historically Black University in Virginia, USA. I like to travel outside of the continental US. In the last 8 years, I have traveled to Colombia, Curaçao, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, England, France (mainland), Germany, Guadeloupe, Martinique, the Netherlands, Panama, and Peru. Often, I traveled alone. Now I am looking for a travel partner with similar interests. I like taking the road less traveled by US tourists. I like meeting local people, eating local food, and safely exploring new-to-me places. Currently, I am trying to plane a couple of trips to Latin America to improve my Spanish. I am thinking about a trip to Colombia around the US Thanksgiving holiday and doing something around the Christmas/New Years holidays.
