Caroline's Bio
Hi! I'm Caroline Hinchliff, the face behind Eat Hike Love. I'm a holistic nutritionist with a passion for food freedom and outdoor adventures, and I live in the Pacific Northwest's beautiful Columbia Gorge. Currently under contract with Moon Travel Guides, I’m researching and writing a guidebook called Drive and Hike: Pacific Crest Trail (publish date: 2020). I spend my days eating delicious food, exploring mountains and rivers, and encouraging others to do the same. I have never been so in love with my life, the people in it, and the beauty I see when I look around.
How did I get here? After a decade in downtown Seattle's culinary scene, working in some of the city's busiest restaurants and leading culinary tours through Pike Place Market, I found myself at a spiritual crossroads. I could not go on the way I'd been going. So, in 2014, I left my urban life behind to hike 2,000 miles on the Pacific Crest Trail, and I have never been the same. It was an epic adventure that forever changed my outlook on health, happiness, and what really matters in this life.
My coaching philosophy is rooted in radical self-love—in other words, choosing kindness and compassion over all else.
I'm on a mission to change the way we eat and the way we treat our bodies, and I hope you'll join me.
