Jeff's Bio
Hi! I love exploring and making new friends. I've been a TV producer my entire adult life and it's provided me lots of great opportunities. Here's my "official" bio: Jeff Dugan began his career as a videographer in the 80's, with clients like PBS, ABC, HBO Sports, and the CBS Evening News. Jeff soon made his mark as a documentary writer and producer, writing the script for "Best Place To Brave The Wild Sea," - setting an early Nielsen ratings record for the Travel Channel that stood for over two years. He then supervised TLC's breakthrough series "Survival In The Sky," helping that network garner it's highest rated prime-time series to date. Jeff then moved on to creating his own original programs, like *Best Place To Watch A Volcano,* the exciting, critically acclaimed two-hour special for The Travel Channel. People Magazine made that show a *Pick of the Week* while Entertainment Weekly selected it in it*s *What to Watch* section. Jeff then created and produced the original six-part series "Narrow Escapes" for The Discovery Channel. Oprah Winfrey, one of the nation's foremost opinion leaders, praised the series as quality television, dedicating an entire episode of her program to "Narrow Escapes." Returning to his roots, Jeff became a writer, penning a memoir on his TV years called Ins & Outs, A Life in Television. At age 58 Jeff took up surfing at a camp in Portugal.
