I'm a 47 year old married father of two boys, a software architect by trade and an outdoors nut by birth. I'm looking to backpack as many of the state forest and long distance trails in PA that I can. I'm also up for backpacking trips to NY in the Catskills and Adirondacks. Or anywhere in the Northeast really. I would rate myself as an intermediate backpacker. I like to hike at a more leisurely pace - taking in the sights and nature rather than racing to rack up miles.
