Dont go there
Never seen such a dirty place in my life. No WiFi, kitchen infested with decay. The worst is the aborigines who plunder the fridges and steal all the business. Insecurity to the maximum. Soon 1 month here I strongly recommend
Great place and the staff (Laura) was super helpful and kind
Had a great stay! The manager is amazing. Family vibes rather than just another hostel. Highly recommend staying here.
Had the best stay at Kununurra backpackers! The pool was such a highlight! Laura, who ran the backpackers was so friendly & welcoming! As a solo traveler I felt really included! Definitely will stay again

Yum yum yum. Just had a take away bacon and egg toasted roll and it was delicious!
Quaint place, Friendly staff, amazing food a lovely evening.
They don't want business. Couldn't even put a room together. Why is this listed as a hotel-motel
Stopped here for breakfast and it was nice and cosy.
Coffees were lovely, smashed avocado was ok (a little bit flavourless) and hubby’s banana bread was delicious.
We went to visit the Hotel for nostalgic reasons and what a lovely experience. The owners are very friendly and accommodating. We had a glass of wine sitting out front and then decided to go back for dinner. Dinner was very reasonably priced and the quality of food excellent. There was a good vibe in the place and it made for a very enjoyable evening. We would highly recommend. Rob & Mike

Didn't sleep here or go here at all really but stayed at the place next to it. That place is really cool and has awesome memories of surf camp like waking up at 6am to eat brekky or trying to suffocate the boys on the final night
As always amazing home away from home
I had a great stay at Lancelin Lodge, the staff was super friendly, the rooms were clean and the facilities were in good condition and clean..
Awesome place. Clean and Nice. Staff are kind and nice..
Rooms are clean and tidy. Bathrooms were immaculately clean and the staff are amazing and very accomodating. Thanks for a great weekend.
The aircon in my room requires replacing but I just left the window open and the ceiling fan on. Done the job.

Great hostel, not very busy. Everything is clean. Owner is very friendly and helpful :-)
I enjoyed my stay. It was low key and nice people staying there, the location is good.
very good clean and cosy
After the Bibbulum Track we decided to treat ourselves with a nice accommodation.
It was clean cozy and organized.good also for parking the car. We just saw the manager once.
The area of Denmark it is pretty self explanatory so we went and found our way around.
Great range of good value accommodation styles within an easy walk to town. Secure bike shed. Leave car by arrangement with friendly owner, Mark. Clean with plenty of cooking and storage space. Always my first choice when in town for a night or two.
I had been on the trail (which is a 1000km and I am down 90km) and needed a rest stop for some food and to replace my shoes. Beautiful but hard walking and looking for a place to stay. I was recommended a backpackers - and being of reasonable age (53) and a female I was not sure - also I needed a lift/pickup from a point on the trail 27km away from Denmark. I called up - the owner Mark (ex South African - they make them good out there) and sure as nuts he would pick me up as I was a guest of his. Perfecto! Ride and bed all in one shot. The Blue Wren is superb- almost biblically so, everything from 50m to the town centre, the amazing WIFI, the cleanliness and Marks hospitality - he even drove me to albany to find the right shoes! I stayed in the en-suite room (only one) and there are single rooms with shared, but separate male/female bathrooms. The best kitchen and table dining and a quaint lounge. If this is what a backpackers is about I won’t be staying at the Sofitel anymore 😂😂

"Had the best time in Cadima. I met the most amazing people who I now call friends it was like a little family home "
“Narelle is the kindest most sweetest soul! She’s like the extra mam away from home, couldn’t of asked for a nicer landlord/friend. The house is beautiful, modern, clean and comfortable. We stayed in the double room with en-suite and it was amazing. Would definitely recommend Cadima House in Pemberton"
"
Spent a few months in cadima and absolutely loved it! Such a cozy and clean house with a lot of space. And the best ”extra mum” Narelle, that helps u with everything and always make sure you feel like home! Cant recommend Cadima house enough!! "
"Highly recommended! I spent 2 months at the Cadima House and it was a great time.. Pemberton is a special place and especially to do your farm work I think it's one of the best spots. And Cadima House is a great place to stay, it's clean, it's a beautiful house, nice rooms and you have your own little family away from home. And if you're there in winter the fire place is super cosy!! Narelle, the owner of the house, is caring and helps you with everything! She's definitely the best landlord I've ever had because she's not just a landlord but a friend. If you ever get stuck or need advise, she always has the right advise for you! So if you're planning on doing your farm work make sure you go to Pemberton and live in the Cadima House! You will have a great time "

“I stayed in Manjimup Backpackers mid October 2019 as I was riding the 1000 km Munda Biddi trail; I had a bike and lots of gear with me. Abdul was very friendly and super accommodating especially considering I also had the bike + gear with me and had to check in late and leave quite early. He had tips for around Manjimup such as restaurants and places to visit. The signage in the hostel was most helpful for anyone that have not been to Manjimup or to the hostel previously. Great place and I would certainly recommend the hostel!”
“Don't go. Just don't. Believe me, all the reviews speak the truth. The hostel is poorly managed, there's no cleaning whatsoever, once in a while maybe the toilets. Your duty is to clean the kitchen and your own room. In case you didn't understand, this place is DIRTY beyond belief. And for that you pay 160$ a week, no tea, no coffee, no WiFi, no nothing. No even heating in winter. You need to pay an extra 20 a week. Abdul will tell you all the sweet words you need to hear just to be sure he can keep you there. You can see he answers reviews like a 15 yrs old kid. WORST hostel I've ever been.”
“Abdul is a great owner!!”
Monopolising third Reich of a place
“The owner Abdul has a monopoly on the entire area if you fall into his 160 dollar a week trap he will mug you off,he controls all the workers in tye area on. All the farms with various contracts ,if you reply to an ad and take a job with him you must stay with him , and if you find other work and leave he will ring the farm and destroy the new job you got not to do with him and replace you with two people staying with him , in manjimup you can have a house with mates for 100 bucks a week walk in walk out , there are about 1000 cameras in this hostel watching every move you make , the place is overcrowded and if you want to make food you best do it before 4pm it leave it till midnight , ridiculous place , he imposes fines for pathetic things like letting a dish soak or smoking by tge woodburner ,never known such a terrible human being , preaches about helping backpackers ,when he only helps his wallet , do not stay here ,head to pemberton backpackers and the manager will sort you rightout. A proper legend of a man down there , do not stay at manjimup backpackers period.”
Felt pretty uncomfortable with the owner abdul being quite hostile. Had to check out to catch a bus back to perth. the check out time was 10 but thought it would be ok to stay in the lounge of the hostel until the bus time, but told me that he didnt care and told me to get out of the hostel. Pretty shocked to experience this since ive never heard of a place that wont let you stay at a lounge for a brief while. also heard pretty bad stories about the owner like the other review says...
Unless youre desperate for a job. I would’nt recommend this place.

The owner is super nice, every Friday there’s a free bbq, and there’s a lot of farm jobs available. However, it can be harder to get one if you’re a girl. It’s also in a beautiful region! It’s a bit far from the nearby town (10min by car) but the owner organises shopping runs a few times a week so you won’t starve ;) great working hostel in general!
Bad memories, bad hostel, joking farm, joking pay, mdfk
Although it is in a farm environment, its equipment is perfect, fixed maintenance and renewal, fixed environment, and even a vending machine👍
The hostel staff will listen to the needs and try their best to help. More secure jobs will also be arranged, and most of the cooperative farmers are very kind.
Would definitely recommend for farm work! Makes it more bareable having mates at the hostel and people you can relate to while doing farm work. Go at a good time where there’s loads of work so from November - March 😊 lovely owners and great location!
We would like to say thank you to the gorgeous Naomi Eaton, since we arrived in the Hostel she was kind and welcoming. The Normalee Manor Hostel has something more to offer: you kind of leaving a family there <3. We suggest to chose that Hostel cause you will have one of the best experience of your life.

Lovely friends. Lovely people Lovely all staffs
Thanks for brook lodge
I never forget all memories here.
Beautiful.
Really nice, laidback and clean hostel. Great staff and it’s located right next to the river and 2 min walk from the supermarket and other shops. They could do with new mattresses but overall I had a great experience here.
Brook Lodge is a good hostel, but it’s a place for working travellers and the beds are only sold on a weekly rate. The manager does an impressive job helping out his guests with jobs and he provides free transport to and from work. The hostel has good facilities that include a kitchen, internet access, pool table, table tennis, barbecue, laundry and a bar. There’s also a TV room with film characters painted on the walls. It is clean and well maintained.
HORRIBLE -- management is RUDE, place is FREEZING and DIRTY
This is the worst hostel -- saying the rooms are freezing is an understatement, outside is warmer than the room. They leave the heating on for just two hours at night. The rooms are so damp that the blankets and the walls feel damp. There is no laundry, the windows in the showers are always open and cannot be closed. There are no freezers, only fridges. Management is also very rude, its a horrible place to stay.
Disgusting cold and boring
It's a home away from home.
Just like a big family

Great hostel with lovely staff. Everything clean and comfortable. Great location near town and near the beach. Would definitely stay again! Good vibes 😊
Very good
Staff were very friendly and helpful
Oven door was broken making it inefficient
Disliked: Staff & service, property conditions & facilities, room comfort
Nice place
For a Youth Hostel this was good place to stay especially for younger generation who want somewhere cheap to stay.Toilets and bathrooms clean and lounge was comfortable to sit down. The owner was very friendly and helpful and found me single room which was comfortable and clean. No help from booking.com.If you just need somewhere to get your head down or cheap stay I would recommend.
It was a nice place to stay and value for money surely I will recommend this accommodation.

The rooms are small and the rest of the hostel is deteriorating. People smoke everywhere, where it’s not allowed and the management tolerate it (even inside).
Very Good
Very friendly residents, walking distance to beach and town centre. The 4bed girls dorm stank horrendously like sweat or dirty feet which no fresh air could pass. The bathroom facilities were clean enough, but so basic that u can't put your stuff anywhere at all. The bed was squeaky and uncomfortable with a very old mattress. Overall friendly and basic clean, but overpriced.
Has potential but bad in general
Good location and chill areas. Pretty expensive for such a lack of facilities. The kitchen hasn't got many appliances and what there is is filthy eg. the oven. The men's showers have no pressure and are often dirty. Things that get broken don't get replaced which shows how little the staff care about the hostel. There's no staff at the hostel from 10am-4pm and again after about 6/7pm apart from a backpacker who is meant to control the place. Also the hostel fails to find much work.
Bad
Was impossible sleep because people do not respect the rules of silent after 10 pm. They also let's people put music really loud until 10 am. Room are with Windows in the entertaining area. I couldn't sleep in all the night

Can’t tell you how much I liked this place. Arrived pretty skint and Pip and her staff were so kind in helping me out. Got a cheap meal at a nearby place and she recommended a bunch of places for work. If you stay anywhere in Albany, stay here!
cheap and close to amenities facility
Liked · near to everywhere in Albany, the room is clean
Disliked · the bathroom, common room, the air circulation
Washrooms dirty, Kitchen a very dirty dark hole. Other as described no breakfast available.Looks like the owner changed before a few years, now that accomodation is going down. Have really the potential for more.
Every evening I was there, there were party’s going on until all hours of the morning with very loud music. 50 percent of the people hanging out at the hostel were not paying guests, and with no security at the hostel or anybody managing after hours, it felt unsafe. I myself had to go out and turn music down. On 2 occasions there was vomit filling the bathroom sink as well as all over the toilet and floor. I drove over broken beer bottles twice in the parking lot.
I found the host was very relaxed and helpful, providing friendly advice about local sights to see, especially the local beaches and the old whaling station. Unfortunately it was cut short by the intensifying Corvid-19 virus as I had to get back to NZ while I can before the airlines suspended flights.

In the 3 weeks I stayed there, my room was cleaned only onceaonce the bathroom decor is old and tatty. Also the noise of the trains early in the morning woke me up. The advertised fast WiFi was too slow until I mentioned it to management. I will not be staying there again.
Great hostel!! Super close to everything, easy to check in and had some delicious food at the bar downstairs! Everything was nice and clean, would stay again!! Just a little suggestion: the timer for the lights in the female toilets went a little fast, strongly recommend changing that so we feel more comfortable having a shower and using the toilet!
Nice staff, great location
The owner was super nice and gave me a very comfortable room at the top floor with a nice view when my neighbor put there tv so loud I couldn’t hear my own thoughts. They also did room service which was great because of the corona virus. Very clean place.
Great Location
Love the location. Near to restaurants, shops and scenic sites. The room is big for three of us. Because it was cold, we had Aircond with heater. And it worked. There is a eatery restaurant next door. Good for family. We had a great time
Had two meals one fish and chips salad looks a week old. One steak half cooked one end raw left half of it, still old salad. NOT GOOD FOOD i did tell the waitress but nothing was done.Room old but comfortable 47 stairs up and down killed me,, lol. They have a happy hour but the beer I wanted wasnt on it,, full price for hanns super,??? Staff not helpfull, couldnt care less altitude, check in was good, about the only thing that was good.

Booked a last minute room here and staff was very friendly. The hostel has a lot of art work painted on the walls and displayed. Love the vibe. Beds were comfy however there was no heater in the room so it was chilly. The toilet has its own room and you have to walk accross the hall to get to the showers to wash your hands

Nice hostel good location and mikki on the desk is super nice! Karl the manager on the desk is a really weird aggressive man who shouts at people for not cleaning dishes and also doesn't allow any drinking of alcohol whatsover. Good hostel but Karl makes it an unpleasant place

Good base
The hostel was a nice base to explore the region. On check in you get cutlery and plates. However in the kitchen everything is sticky. The bedrooms and bathrooms are clean. A recommendation for the hostel would be to provide a tea towel to dry your own kitchen ware. Overall good stay and friendly staff

The owner so very Kind
Hostelworld: (5.1/10)
Unfortunately the hostel isn't looked after well, very old not well maintained. The bathroom was fairly clean but only one working shower, common areas are dirty, smelly. No keys for the rooms and everyone can just enter the premises unnoticed from the back and easily access the rooms unseen. There is a dog living there which isn't mentioned anywhere, it is barking and growling at guests and behaves scary at times. Breakfast is basic, staff was nice, lots of weed being smoked all over.
Hostelworld: (6.3/10)
Really not the place to stay if you’re used to a standard of a YHA. If you are totally laid back, you’ll find the place to be charming but I wouldn’t recommend it. Felt more like a ramshackle university house and I’m past that. Limited facilities and worn out, people can easily walk in and out if they choose - it had looked as if someone had previously tried to break into the room we were staying in. No lockers available but we did have a lock on our door (twin bed private room).
Tripadvisor: (3.5/5)
I enjoyed my stay at this very chilled back packers. It is not luxury and is not clean (the kitchen and sofas outside are gross), but the other guests and staff are super friendly and welcoming.
Kitchen and rooms were pretty untidy and you can tell the people staying here are mostly working in the area and here for a while. It's got a homey feel to it which is nice, but be prepared for messy/gross shared spaces.
I felt safe here and everyone is happy to chat about the area and share info and tips on surf/wine/life! Bonus points for Holmes the dog.
If you're on a budget and want to chill with interesting people, I recommend it; just relax your expectations of hygiene.

Australia’s OKist Hostel
5 star location, 3 star hostel. There is nothing else in the Margaret River town which seems to be affordable for humble backpackers who want to stay in Margaret River Town. However the hostel itself I’d say was average. Can’t say I liked it, but it fit the purpose for 30 bucks a night in a 4 bed dorm. They have a nice dog too.

Enjoyed our time here. Jools on reception was great and let us borrow bikes for free to try the nearest wineries. Decent accommodation with parking, good kitchen and clean toilet/shower blocks. Bit of a walk to the town but would have been happy to stay longer.
Nothing fancy at all, just clean and basic.
First impression: Nice staff, comfy beds, decent shower. The double bed rooms are further away from the busy part of the hostel, seperate kitchen in this part of the building. Price is a bit high for the standard, but hey we've only spent our first night here so actually I can't tell what else is here to find.
Very bad, even for budget accommodation
Had to book a last minute room in MR, and it was all that was left.
Terrible standard for a reasonably priced private hostel room. Very dated and unclean furnishings and tiles loose in bathroom. Not a comfortable sleep at all. Friendly staff was about the only pro. Needs a serious make over.
Awful!
Would not recommend this lodge. While I didn’t have high expectations this place is awful. Staff were very friendly and helpful and that was the highlight. The family room was filthy, smelly and overpriced. The mattress had a sink hole in the middle of it! I will be having the longest shower of my life when I leave here.

Pros: lovely spot out in the countryside that was quiet and peaceful. Able to use full kitchen to cook dinner. Nice to walk around farm on arrival.
