At GAFFL we know that it can be difficult to find fruit picking jobs in Australia. There are a few websites out there that help you find work but they also ask for money before showing you any job listings. We’ve devised a way for people backpacking in Australia to find these jobs in New South Wales free of any cost.

If you scroll below the map, we list different areas around New South Wales, their harvest times, and contact details for farms in the area. We also provide you with other things to do, information about accommodations, and directions on how to get there. We retrieved most of the contact information below from the yellow pages and Facebook. We don't have any affiliation with the farms or wineries listed below.

We've also written about how to find fruit picking jobs in QueenslandVictoriaWestern Australia, South Australia, and Tasmania.  Additionally, you try checking out our many hostel guides to fruit picking jobs in Australia. For New South Wales specifically, you can check out our guide on some of the best working hostels to find fruit picking jobs in New South Wales.

Websites to Find Fruit Picking Work in NSW

Before contacting the farms directly, you may have luck finding fruit picking work in NSW by browsing through the Australian Government’s Harvest website

Another great way to find harvest work is to contact the Harvest Labour Service provider in your area. You can find their contacts here.

Other websites to find fruit picking jobs in NSW include:

Everlasting Agriculture Management Pty Ltd

North Hill Harvesting

The University of New England

AG Workforce

Neuvoo

You can find jobs across NSW and Australia in vineyards picking grapes and pruning vines. Individual vineyards often use contractors to find harvest workers, I’ve listed a few of these contractors below.

Wine Industry Jobs

Wine Jobs Australia

CoZ Wine

Prunerite (They hire in January)

Bright Vine Services (They hire from Jan- March call Janell +61048966484) or Kyle +610402047800)

If you aren't able to find any fruit picking work in NSW by using the websites above, you should have better luck by using the map below. Find a location that is harvesting right now, look up the corresponding city/town, and contact farmers using the contact info provided below. For the less tech-savvy folks, if you hold the “Ctrl”/ "Command" button on your keyboard and then press the “F” key, you will be able to search the destination without having to scroll through the whole list. I have personally reached out to many of these farms to confirm if they hire backpackers. All of the harvest information below was directly sourced from the Australian Government’s Harvest website.

Meet Other Travelers in NSW
