Truly lovely, homely, upmarket place. Owners Sandra and Norm give personal attention to ensure your stay is the best that it can be. Gorgeous kitchen, great hot shower, secure, heating works well, comfortable bed, dvds and TV to watch with great lounge chairs. I only stayed 1 night and wish I could have stayed longer. Stay here, you won't be disappointed.
Good
Liked · Very convenient location in centre of town. Very easy access and off street parking.
Disliked · A bit of truck noise outside at night, but that will be fixed very soon with the new Penola bypass.
Exceptional”
I like the location. The bed was comfortable. The coffee machine was easy to work. The host was easy to contact. The property was easy to access.
Nothing I didn't like. It all went smoothly.
Fantastic for large groups looking for a central location to stay in Penola

Was a horrible place to stay, we booked the large tents but were given the wrong tent with no refund very hot and no cooling. The tent had old tissues inside if it and was not a pleasant visit altogether would not recommend at all.

Very good
Liked · Nice place which is away from everything with a peaceful view and feeling.
Disgustingly dirty and dissapointed
Let me start by highlighting we stayed in a centre cabin...when i say cabin...i mean shipping container. You would also think cabin would mean a little cleaner...but i honestly dont know if this shipping container has ever been cleaned. I could have collected the lindt and created a sculpture for the next person to inform them to run and not stay.
Im pretty sure we had a family staying with us because next door we could hear everything - the walls were as thin as paper. Considering the small space of a shipping container (portacabin for the Brits) one would expect logical furniture, however the largest piece of furniture was a giant desk with many shelves that you would expect someone to write their memoirs - i would have prefered a second bed as the so called sofa bed is not one...it indeed feels like a table. The actual bed leaves you waking in agony - looking forward to your physio appt so you can recover. You may be thinking that it couldnt have been that bad but it was. Im sure the flies next to the cabinets had died many weeks ago not while we were staying there and could have easily been cleaned, had the room ever been cleaned in its existence. The sponge looked like it had been used for an oil change and the cups were glowing with grease - and i couldnt clean them because of the sponge - pick your risks. Do not be fooled by the advertisement that states it is architectually designed or the hidden gem of Coonawarra. I have never felt so sore or dirty after staying anywhere else. The owners really need to step up and take some responsibility, as I am extremely dissapointed we spent any money here. It was disgustingly dirty and disgraceful.
Liked: Cleanliness, room comfort
Amazing staff name is Laura, she so helpful and friendly...definitely will go again.

Stayed here from November 2017 to March 2018.
Basically all people staying in this hostel are working holiday people under 30 trying to get their second year visas. The hostel hires people to mainly potato/onion factories where the salary is usually around 20$/h. New people arriving to the hostel go at the bottom of a work waiting list and usually get work from the factories in two weeks. I got hired in two days, but some people had to wait for THREE WEEKS to start work (the hostel staff doesn't always know if there's work available, yet promise to find you a job "very soon"). The work in the factories is simple (usually packing and stacking potato creates/sacks for boys and grading for girls) and you don't have to do your 2nd year visa work under a burning sun. The many vineyards around Barossa also hire backpackers but you usually need to find grape picking jobs on your own.
The amount of work different people get in the factories isn't balanced. Some people work five days a week, and some only three or even two days a week! If you don't get enough work in one factory, just change to another!
Sometimes one of the factories (Virginia Farm Produce) randomly fires around ten people and then instantly hires other new ten people! For no apparent reason! They only do casual contracts so they don't even need to tell you that you're not working in the factory anymore. This happened to me TWO WEEKS before I was about to leave so I had no way of getting steady work before my departure (most jobs do 3-month contracts).
The HOSTEL itself isn't too bad. There's a lot of mosquitoes, but the showers and toilets work and are clean. There's a tv-room with a broken PS3, most people plug their computers to the tv to watch movies.
The kitchen is very often very dirty and crowded but they have free pans and pots for you to use. They have containers for dry foods and fridges that are usually full.
It seems like most locking systems in the lockers are broken and the doors to the rooms are always open so sometimes a beer or two might disappear if you're not careful.
The wifi in the hostel definitely IS NOT FREE, it costs 4$ for 5 hours and for the most of the time doesn't even work. There is a library 5 minute walk away that has free wifi and good computers. Foodland is also 5 minite walk away. The hostel also rents vans so if you need Hungry Jack's or cigarettes, you can drive to Nuriootpa (10 min drive away). You can also do free wine tastings in the many wineries around the area.
Kaiserstuhl Conservation Park (20 min drive away) is also worth seeing. Go there during sunset and you'll see A LOT OF KANGAROOS. Rifle Range Road, the road that goes there, is very scenic so be ready to take some pictures.
This place is very good for meeting new people. The atmosphere is chill and all people I've met here have been really friendly. The parties are good, but if you're planning to sleep on saturday-sunday nights, be ready to use earplugs.
Great for work….
We just finished our month long stay at the Barossa to earn some money.
Regarding work this place is fantastic they have 2 contracts with local factories and so there is always work if you don't mind being in a factory. If you can try and get a job at Mitolos from what we hear you are treated alot better then at Virginia.
Regarding the hostel as a place to live.... Saturday nights are party nights so don't expect to be able to sleep before 4am! We moved rooms and actually from room 1 you could hardly hear a thing. Facilities are limited at the Barossa... the kitchen is tiny, only 6 showers for 100 people... 3 in the men's, 2 in the women's and a disabled bathroom. Wifi is expensive (4$ for 4 hours) and there is not enough fridge and food storage space.
The most negative thing about this hostel is the vans to say they are in a poor state is an understatement. You have to pay 5$ a day per person to use them plus you have to put fuel in. I don't know where the 5$ goes because it certainly isn't on the vans. It was also very stressful at times due to the lack of vans... sometimes you would wonder if you'd even get to work at all. If you have your own car it's assumed that you will drive and take others to work I know some people got annoyed at this as it's 100 km a day added to wear and tear.
We did meet some fantastic people both at this hostel and at the job they found us. I feel most of the problems could be changed if the owner actually spent some money on the place. It is one of the most expensive places we stayed at so they are deffinately raking it in
This is a working hostel. So for any backpackers looking for their 2nd year visa, this is as good as I have seen. I however used it as a base for seeing the Baroosa because it is the cheapest option. And it served its purpose. The kitchen could be cleaner but this is the result of working holiday backpackers and there is a professional cleaner everyday. Once more this should only be seen as an option for backpackers seeking their 2nd year visa, and in this case it is very very good
Disappointing stay as the hostel was in such a filthy state. It had not been cleaned properly for ages. Everywhere you looked, you saw dirt.
The kitchen was the biggest mess. You could not cook in there even if you wanted to. It was so unhygienic, full of dirty dishes that are left for days, all the countertops dirty/filthy. I have never seen a kitchen as dirty as there. Even one of the staff agreed with me but felt like they had lost the battle against guests not caring to clean after themselves.
It is a working hostel and the people staying there seem quite young. Lots of noise, partying till whee hours, screaming in the middle of the night. There is no night manager so nobody is in charge.
The rooms are tiny and messy due to guests staying long term. No air con so it can get quite hot during the day. No vacuuming of rooms so they are also full of dust. Not cool if you are sensitive to dust as an allergic person.
Barossa valley and Tanunda are lovely places to visit but I highly recommend staying somewhere else
Thanks you for helping me get my 88 day visa.
Thank you Barossa Backpackers. You saved me big time I had 3 months to get my 88 day visa and I got it today no problems!
I found the hostel with a Gum Tree ad which looked fine compared to other hostels I researched and reviewed.
I came to the hostel by myself and met some fellow English guys who were in the same boat and together we work off the 88 days and best of all had a blast!
The hostel itself is super clean, staff are super friendly, they have there own transport to work. The only negative is that you have to pay for the internet but there is a free library down the road and it is 200 meter walk to the center of town with an expensive supermarket.
All in all great times, great people.

Nice hostel, I have meet hier realy nice Persons
Best hostel in South Australia. Great for work and relaxing
After serveral suggestions by fellow travellers mentioning Berri backpackers, I finally decided to see this place myself on my way around the country. Best decision ever. This hostel really is a place of peace and joy. It will always be in my hard
I had a blast
Had an absolutely fantastic time there. Great place to hang out after work. It has so many facilities. All rooms were refurbished during my stay, new paint, shelves, mattresses, some new carpets as well which was very good to see. Overall I very much enjoyed my stay
Loved my stay at Berri Backpackers
I stayed at Berri Backpackers for 7 months back in 2013. After spending my first year staying in various hostels around Australia and getting more fed up with the living conditions i couldn't quite believe what i'd stumbled across, Berri Backpackers. My memories are of great atmosphere and that everyone was part of the communal life. I made some great friends while staying there, an extraordinarily wonderful place, and benchmark for all other Hostels.
The unit was spotless, had good facilities including a top of the range evaporative air conditioner. Good storage space for clothes and food and a friendly host.

It's just awesome..
no rubbish, honest caring and catering owners.
Cons its far away from your mum if you come from outside australia!
Pros the work they get you asap, the atmosphere, the friends you make and the caring staff.
amazing place to stay, i can be very fussy even when it comes to travelling around the world with a pack on my back, but this place was great! the staff made it, its a family business and has been for many years so they know how to look after you, give advice and be polite to the few idiots that you always bump into along the way. close to all shops in the beautifull country town, breathtaking views of the river and stretches of land. i met lots of friends here as most end up staying a few months, great place to get a second w h visa and everyone was so nice as you are all in the same place in life generally. bbq's are held and once you get to know everyone you generally all sit around the table together chatting and eating your cheap dinners of noodels and veggies! there is also a dvd card which makes it easy to relax after work, like a home away from home. i stayed for 4 months last year and did loads, i had a great job which enabled me to save for my flight back to scotland withing 3 weeks, there was the annual hot air balloon show and many cruises along the river, as well as beer and a football at the riverbanks with close friends i met. if you want a place to stay that has a warm and inviting atmosphere and is very clean then stay here, if not enjoy your travels wherever you go. :) :)

This is a beautiful place to stay. The rooms are smaller than most hotels, and you pay a bit extra. But the view more than makes up for it. Such a beautiful sight being on the river. Being a boat, the whole place rocks a bit every time another boat goes by haha, but you quickly get used to that, and it's only really during the day.
There are many places to eat and shop within walking distance which is handy.
I would definitely stay here again.
Outlook was great.
The fact that we were not told it was under management for sale and facilities were closed..
Magnificent location at a great price with lovely staff and very comfortable room.....great coffee too!
The boat is unique, the staff were very attentive and helpful. Great location.

(Translated by Google) We would recommend the hostel to everyone. It deserves more than 5 stars! Bronnie is a very good person, takes care of everything. In time like a replacement mother for you. Anyone who wants to spend their 88 days should go to the HTL Hostel. The hostel is super clean, you have everything you need. Kitchen is fully equipped and the rooms are great.
It was like family. There is a family atmosphere there, which makes work easier and fun when you come "home". Thank you for the wonderful time. We will never forget them.
It was a second house for me! New management and the place look like new... Kindness is the key world in that place! I recommend it!

Nice and comfortable place. Great service and reasonable prices. All amneties available and would suit everyones budgets.
Radeka’s Underground Backpackers is located in the heart of Coober Pedy. Within walking distance of pretty much everything in Coober. We arrived in off-peak season and were two of five people staying there so would assume it to be a bit noisy during peak season as there are no doors to the dorms. The dorm rooms were underground as described and a real experience. Kitchen and dining room facilities were available including fridge and freezer, stove top and pantry storage. Would stay here again if I ever head back to Coober.
Loved this place. Really good standard of accommodation. The staff provided so much information on check in which made stying here and finding things to do so useful. Looking forward to staying here next time I’m in town. Great place.
A warm welcome after a long journey
I had a fantastic stay at the Radeka Downunder Underground Motel and Backpacker Inn. Heather and Gary made me so welcome. I found everything I needed at this well run hostel/motel. There is a variety of accommodation options, for every budget. I found the cost very reasonable for the well organised facilities provided. A very friendly oasis in the desert. Thank you both for a wonderful couple of days and for sharing your knowledge of Coober Pedy with me.
Interesting underground sleeping experience
Liked · Flexible check-in time, adapted to the Greyhound bus Schedule (thank you for letting us check in at 5 am!). Centrally located. Underground rooms. Basic room. Comfortable bed. Spacious common areas. Clean toilets.

This hotel is for me the best hostel where I've never been by far. It is located 10 meters from the beach. It is very relaxing and cosy hostel. Everything is very clean. The kitchen has all the necessary equipment. The garden is great with a vegetable patch, and a barbecue. The rooms are very clean and some have sea views. Beds are very comfortable. The bathrooms are also very clean and functional. The common areas are very large and you can eat while having a view of the sea. There are board games, guitars etc. you can't get bored. I have met amazing people here. Everything is done to have a great stay. I used to travel and stay in a lot of hostels and this one is really great. And the best is obviously the managers of the hostel Jill and Graham who will take care of you during your stay. They really know port elliot and the surroundings. They will be there if you need help, their welcoming is perfect. Thank you so much Jill and Graham, I had an incredible stay here in Port Elliot. The managers Jill and Dave were so welcoming, they knew everyone staying there by name and even spent the evening with us providing everyone with wine and cheese. They created a lovely welcoming atmosphere and I would love to visit again..
Stunning view of Horseshoe Bay. Friendly staff and well maintained facilities
Comfortable beds, nice kitchen, plenty of fridge space, nice lighting, beautiful location. Everything clean. Great variety of travellers to meet there
The new managers are doing a great job - mingling with the visitors and helping in any way they can, keeping the place clean and welcoming!

REALLY BAD, dirty rooms and all other commonity places. No one working with cleaning, or very seldom. Also they force young people to sign an contract ( be cause they help them with some kind of work) to be paying 300 dollars, if they dont stay!!!! But when its so dirty and filthy, and SOOO FAR AWAY to the work, over 1,5 hours by car ONE WAY!!! Going to report this hostel
What more can be said?!? We have been given a guided tour of the whole facilities. By the lady.
Don’t recommend to anyone. Not cheap enough given the conditions.
Liked · We were lucky and had the dorm room to ourselves. We were also able to checkin at the time that suited us even though no one was there to check us in.
Disliked · Filthiest backpackers we have ever stayed in. Flies and crumbs in the kitchen, mud and dirt all through the bathrooms and showers, no where to put shower stuff and towel in the shower room. A window was smashed at some point during the night of our stay. There were signs mentioning how police get called regularly to the property due to behaviour of guests. No way of locking our room. This all combined to us feeling unsafe there. Would not recommend to anyone.
Filthy Amenities
Men’s toilets were filthy, floor was covered with urine, urinal was out of order and lights did not work. I was too scared to poo. Showers were in need of a thorough clean and there were piles of discarded dirty clothing, toiletries and towels. Not surprisingly they were vacant. Kitchen was expansive, needed a clean and was light on for crockery and cutlery. Accommodation was basic and comfortable, belongings were able to be secured with individual room key and locker. Room needed a sweep and mop as there was rubbish, dust and relics of past guests. Reception was polite and helpful. Guests were friendly and the location was great. More of a cheap workers abode rather than tourist accomodation.
Well run hostel, great locatiom
My wife and I visited McLaren Vale overnight en route to Adelaide to sample some of the region's famed wineries. We were very pleasantly surprised with our experience in this well run hostel. We had originally booked a four bed dorm, however we were given a private double room, with no additional charge, when we asked about this on arrival. We were also provided with washing powder free of charge from the friendly and laid back staff. Our room was small but functional. The hostel is extremely well located, only a few hundred metres from the Shiraz Trail, with many wineries within walking distance. Supermarket just around the corner, and there is a very large kitchen to cook in with plenty of space.
It should be called out this is a backpackers with some longer term guests who are working in the region, which didn't bother us at all but worth being aware of before booking. We would recommend this place to others travelling on a budget in the region.

The greatest hostel in Australia! Although secluded, Adelaide Hills Backpackers is the place to be! With a picturesque scenery, homely environment, and a great hostess: Heather, you cannot ask for much more. During my two month stay, I frequented the gym, swimming pool and beautiful porch, often. While also making some of the best acquaintances during my Australia trip.
If you decide to visit, greet Wilbur. The nicest man alive.
I left yesterday after being at the hostel since September. You won't find a hostel like it anywhere. Everyone in the hotel becomes like family! Heather is amazing! She helps with finding farm work and listens when you need to have a rant about it. facilities are clean and comfortable and you have full access to a pool (great after a day of farming) and a gym. In the 3 months I've been there we've had parties and dinners together as well as access to cars to go and explore the hills.
Highly recommend! Thanks to Heather!
Heather puts a lot of passion into providing a good homely environment. The place is one of a kind, rather remote, but good facilities. I stayed for a couple months and had my own room to myself and got to work out at a fully loaded gym everyday. It was a little hard to come by good work but there was usually something. A lot of the farmers had a poor season because of weather so nobody's to blame for some of the jobs falling through. Anyways, beautiful place and relaxed environment that you won't find in busier hostels.
Gumhaven is one of the best hostels I've stayed at!
Located in the Adelaide Hills the hostel is situated in a very picturesque area. On site there's a fully equipped gym, swimming pool, bar and outdoor barbecue area, perfect for summer evenings.
The general living space is well maintained, has wifi and a tv with free view channels.
Cars are available onsite to get you to and from work and can also be used for day trips at the weekend.
I stayed at this hostel for 11 weeks and had an incredible time and met some amazing people.
The hostel is run by Heather, who's an absolute star, willing to help you with any problems you may have! She makes the hostel feel like home, hosting family dinners and birthday parties, really getting to know the groups.
I've the most amazing memories from my stay here and would highly recommend Gumhaven to anyone.
Thanks for the hospitality Titch x
Stayed here with my partner for 5 weeks and it was fantastic. Great facilities in a lovely area. Heather runs things brilliantly and we enjoyed our stay

Nice people and and good atmosphere. They organise dinners so we can all spend some time together. Plus the guest house is very quite and perfect if you need to rest.
I recommend
A wonderful hostel. Very clean and chilled out. They are doing three free dinners a week. We only had the Monday nights vegetarian chili con carne and it was delicious. The rooms seem ridiculously cheap (probably due to the coronavirus). There is a lot of information all over the hostel about washing your hands and looking after yourself and each other. The owners seem to be very pro-active in looking after their guests.
Great spot !
My first backpack !
Nice place!
Big living room and big kitchen.
The place is clean and you've got everything around at less than 5 minutes walking.
Good vibe and the owner is really cool and always smily 🙂
Exceptional
Liked · Location is close to all attractions and transportation.
Staff are very friendly and helpful.
Kitchen is clean and big enough.
Disliked · Should separate toilets/bathroom for M and F.
Friendly staff, peaceful environment, clean and tidy, convenient location, especially the guesthouse section. very reasonable prices also. Thankyou for your lovely hospitality.

(Translated by Google) The latter half is Japanese. This hostel is much cleaner and comfortable than before! Though still same economic price and FREE parking.Big balcony with friendly people.1 min walk to catch free bus.supermarket is next door.perfect for long stay people too .;) Many reviews Unlike the contents written in, the toilet and room are now clean. It is a good atmosphere to talk with travelers and play ukulele on a large balcony. It seems that this hostel was the original Japanese inn in Adelaide, and the owner of the Japanese-Japanese family showed me the information notes that the senior backpackers left behind. 1 minute walk to the free bus stop, next to the supermarket. Recommended for long stays! When you arrive in Adelaide, please board the free shuttle bus number 98 or 99. It is about 15 minutes from the center by foot.
Dirty and bed bugs everywhere don't stay here
If you want to know how it is just check what S******* in dictionary means. F****** disgraceful, place should be banned and leveled with the ground.
Great place to stay
The lovely lady at reception was extremely helpful and we are very greatful for the service she gave us. She went out of her way to look up public transport time tables for us and even helped us with trying to cancel tours we were not able to do anymore. Very spacious rooms and fresh clean linen. only problem with the room that could make it a bit more cozy would be a small couch or something comfortable to rest and watch the tv on as you do not always want to be in bed to relax.
The outdoor area was a lovely area to eat dinner and mingle with other guests with the kitchen on the small side it really was nice to have somewhere to go eat and get out of the way of those cooking. We stayed here last year also and the improvements that have occurred are great. When we come back next time I am sure it will be even better.
Private ensuite looked like it hadn't been cleaned in quite some time. The location was good for access to the city, but the room was so dirty that we will not be staying again.

I really love this place.. nice place and people.. and they serve the best pancake i ever tasted.. i ate pancake everyday, really love their pancake.. definitely will be back and stay here when i back to adelaide.. i miss the pancake
Good vibes and nice breakfast and dinners! Clean and well situated. Great party atmosphere in evenings and clean in the mornings. Really exactly what you'd want from a Hostel! Real value for money.
Loud but Yummy!
Pros:
Free food!! Tasty pancake breakfasts and four nights a week they make you dinner! Really tasty! Make sure you queue early! Generally plenty for everyone but people go for seconds!
Facilities were good, toilets/showers upstairs are really good, downstairs is poor.
Cons:
Be prepared for party on the weekends! Very loud. Had to ask people to shh at 4am both Friday and Saturday night. Not sure why the front door is at the front by the rooms! The backdoor services the reception and common room so why is this not the front door?!?
Luggage storage was not secure with the door just open all the time. Backdoor is open all the time so anyone can walk in off the street and they wouldn’t look out of place!!
Not much room in the dorms and lockers are mostly broken. Had to store my bag on-top of the locker which was a bit of a nightmare
The capsule rooms are insane. Amazingly comfortable and self privacy.
I left 15 min's after check in loss what I payed the smell was like a dump I booked a 6 bed room and was put in a 10 bed room

Nixe hostle for traveling in Australia. Parking costs extra 12$ per day but that's OK for in the middle of the city. Minus one star because I think it is expensive for what you get, compared to other hostels.
This hostel was in a great location and had great facilities! Stayed there twice.
Incredible hostel the best one I’ve ever stayed in. Perfect location, everything you need, great wifi and super clean..
Decent base whilst in Adelaide.
Large hostel, free pancakes for breakfast was good. Staff were friendly. Bit of a hike to get there from the airport if arriving late at night (but still only a bus ride and a walk). Comfy beds, nice showers
Staff helpful to tell you about how to get around especially with public transport

This place's charm is less in the physical structure, but more those that make them a home. I've got a few examples proving this, but I'll share the most recent. I hadn't been at the hostel in over a month, when a package arrived there for me. A simple e-mail and Pete brought it to the post office and sent it on to me. I offered to cover the postage and he was adement I pay it forward to someone who needs it. Yes it's a hostel, not the Hilton, but I'd argue that Sunny's has better customer service, and definitely more heart.
Helpful friendly blokes at reception very welcoming and accommodating. Thank you!
What an awesome spot. The owners are possibly the nicest I've met. I drove in on a motorbike and one of the owners helped me do a valve adjustment free of charge.
Not only that but the spot is great. Adelaide is cool town if you give it a chance. Come to this hostel if you want to make friends!

Lovely environment. Central location.
The girl on the reception over the weekend. Only thing I regret is not asking for her number. Jk. Real amazing people in the staff and always to help..
Good place and good location with a friendly staff and one bar available on the balcony. Clean and tidy. Unfortunate my room was close to the bar and its so loud the week end till 2 a.m that its not possibe to sleep.
Reasonably priced in a great location. Bar sells pints for $5.50 which is much appreciated. Some rooms to back onto the bar so it can be quite loud. If you're looking for somewhere quiet look elsewhere. If location and price are all that matter then I can't fault the Blue Galah.
Visted the blue galah hostel. It was a very dark hostel, there were people living there and the hostel did not smell great. Very stuffy and a dark hostel. Showers were okay but other than that I was glad to check out. Kitchen was small and dirty but the the kitchen was equipped. Location is right in the city but would not stay here again.

Very good location, close to Coles, Adelaide central market and Adelaide central bus station. A walking distance from Rundle mall and Hindley Street. Also close to buses which bring you to the airport. …
+ Clean and tidy dorm. Good location. Nice communal areas..
- Inadequate number of bathrooms for number of guests..
Suited my needs prefectly
Manager / owner was super nice and very helpful, could not recommend this place more
Disappointing

The place is next to a road with heavy traffic (i didn't know that as i booked the place from Melbourne), couldn't sleep at all. I left the day after and lost the bond but any way i was probably going to loose it as the owner of the place didn't sound honest at all! I found for a couple of dollars more a nice and calm airbnb in the same area.
You should not rent this bnb because the owner does not keep his word, he is dishonest. He clearly told me he will pay me back for a vacant room, and for a week no news. Really disappointed
Good , clean and quiet. Good place for short term stay. Location is also very convenient. It's just besides tramp station 6
Pretty good place, not quite exactly as described and shown in pictures but nice place none the less. Some repairs need to be done but good kitchen and bathroom. Internet only works half of the time.
You should pay 300$ for bond but Usually, the manager is not at the office. It is hard to get back the bond in person when you leave. Even if you call the manager after you leave here to get back the bond, he rarely answer the phone. Many guys haven't been getting back there bonds at the moment.

Super friendly staff satisfied 5+
Amazingly central with great access to buses, trams and trains from the centre making it easy to travel around Adelaide and its suburbs, the staff are extremely helpful when you ask them any questions however are more geared towards downstairs (the pub/bar and slot machines) compared to other hostels. The beds in the rooms were great with plenty of space however there was only 1 double socket for a room of 6 which meant some other guests would charge their stuff in the night after taking yours out. There was not much space in the kitchen especially fridge space was lacking for the amount of people staying there, however there are a couple of supermarkets just a short walk away so it’s not a big issue as most people just buy and cook their stuff straight away. The kitchen facilities are not the cleanest and most hygienic I have used.
I have stayed in many hostels for 15 years but this one I can’t recommend. The shared bathrooms were dirty, toilets disgusting, sometimes no toilet paper, no toilet brush... On top of it, it’s super noisy. You can not only hear the street noise of drunk teens but also other guests were slamming doors (kinda unavoidable because they only shut by slamming). If you can, stay somewhere else.
Stayed in a double room with my missus. Clean Bar Fridge and sink in room with good solid bed and good mattress. Considering its above a pub not too loud but did only stay during the week. Great location, couldn't be anymore central to everything. Friendly, helpful staff. A Free use washer and dryer.
Super central but not the cleanest kitchen

Beautiful and clean please
very helpful staff, property very clean easy access to town and shops
What an amazing stay!
One of the best hostels I have ever stayed in. Debi and Rob were so welcoming and informative. They went above and beyond. The rooms were super clean, the beds comfy and the facilities were amazing! Also the TV in the room was a bonus! We stayed here for two nights while we did our shark cage dive. The hostel has a movie room, lounge area and bar. It also has amazing kitchen facilities and outside area. Thank you so much for our stay!
Very nice place . Annoying owners
Liked · Very clean hostel , almost like brand new. Great TV room .
Disliked · Beds were to small . The owners were annoying. Having a a moan about everything because they see it as there house not as you being a paying guest . Literally every day you wake up they'll have something to moan about which made the stay not as good because I was on edge
I had a great time at the hostel. It’s very clean, everyone is very helpful, especially Debbi. Really recommend and it’s near the shark diving centre
